Customer Service Representative
A major regional distributor of packaging equipment, supplies and services seeks a patient, stable and consistent person who is team oriented, helpful, supportive and dutiful. The successful candidate is a quick learner and good student, who is especially accurate and detail oriented. We require an organized, thorough and conscientious individual who will remain likeable, easy-going, approachable and friendly during the course of each work day. This adaptive, open-minded employee efficiently and accurately enters orders according to company procedures; ensuring input does not result in rework. Customer relationships (including new accounts) are managed via phone, email, fax and in-person utilizing good listening and communication skills. This engaging company representative assists the Outside Salesperson with his or her accounts, and performs administrative duties and current pricing research from vendors. Overseeing orders throughout the sales cycle, to include expediting, problem solving, analyzing customer schedules and good follow through, is necessary for success. This proactive, independent staff member is responsible for scheduling future product needs of customers through effective communications with both purchasing and shipping. After obtaining price quotes from vendors and freight lines, this information is relayed to Salespeople and customers to avoid discrepancies in pricing data. This insightful, inquisitive worker accomplishes departmental objectives by providing assistance to others and seeking solutions company-wide. This intelligent, perceptive employee manages and maintains the customer data base. Return of Product issues are handled to meet the expectations of those involved.
To become part of our team, a high school diploma or equivalent, no prior felony convictions, and proven Excel experience are required. Two to five years Customer Service Experience, experience in the distribution industry, an Associate degree, experience in the package industry and business experience are preferred. TOC experience, Shippers Supply Company experience, five years experience in Customer Service and a Bachelor degree are desired.
