Job Description:
· Inspect random samples in Receiving, Production (on-line and final inspection), Programming, Picking, and Shipping for correct quantities and items, programming accuracy, assembly accuracy, and sufficient packaging.
· Identify and accurately document all inspection, non-conformance, and re-work results.
· Immediately communicate all inspection sample non-conformities to department management for prompt corrective action and re-work.
· Perform custom inspections (outside the normal inspection process) as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor or Manager.
· Comply with all safety regulations and requirements, as set forth within the established procedures and standards.
In order to be eligible to apply for this position, you must:
• Be a current employee of Brightpoint or
• Be employed by our staffing partner, Elwood Staffing, and be working on-site at one of our Brightpoint locations.
SUMMARY
Responsible for performing random sampling inspections in Receiving, Production, Programming, Picking, and Shipping, as well as accurately documenting all inspection results, non-conformities, and re-work. All inspectors are cross-trained and knowledgeable in multiple inspection areas.
Experience and Skills:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma, or equivalent,is required.
· 1-2 years experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
· A general knowledge of Quality Control processes and procedures is preferred, but not required.
· Must have good basic math skills, knowledge of basic computer operation, high attention to detail, and good communications skills.
