Description:
Respond to and diagnose workstation problems and network connectivity issues for LAN and wireless activities. This includes the ability to work with end users to obtain problem recognition, research potential cause(s), isolate, and implement appropriate steps to resolve user error conditions/issues. You will be required to install and maintain software applications on work stations and provide assistance to users on utilization of commercial-off-the-shelf software products and recruiting specific applications. This consultant will also be required to install and configure current U.S. Army Accession Command's baseline, updates, security patches, and other unique software products/tools necessary to support the recruiting mission. You must be capable of resolving medium to complex problems utilizing PC, software, and peripheral equipment (scanners, printers, etc.) immediately; while other more severe connectivity or PC-related problems are escalated to subject matter experts located at the headquarters. You may be required to resolve end user problems remotely through the use of software tools or telephonic support.

Requirements:
PC Technician Qualifications:

• Must have A+ or N+ (any other higher Microsoft Certification a plus)
• Minimum four (4) years of industry knowledge of information technology best practices
• Prior Army recruiting experience (a plus)
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in personal computer hardware, software, and peripheral maintenance with Level 2/3 help desk support
• Ability to isolate the cause/effect and prioritize problems using monitoring tools and understanding of software application and database structures and design
• Demonstrated knowledge of experience in monitoring and assisting end users with network connectivity activities and/or systems within a large enterprise
• Conceptual understanding of connectively architecture in wireless and LAN environments
• Understanding of network protocols
• Knowledge of system security, system integration principles, and technologies of multiple operating systems
• Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly develop new job-specific skills
• Willingness to work after hours and on weekends
