Description
MVFS Field Services Senior Analyst - Louisville, KY

This position will be remote based, meaning you will work onsite at our customer sites nationwide. When not at a customer site, you will work from your home office. The hire should live in the metro area or commutable region of the market represented in the role's title. Up to 80% travel to customer sites within this region, and/or nationally as needed, will be required. We do not seek to relocate candidates to the stated market area at this time.

This position will be responsible for the successful execution of hardware and software deployment projects within the customer environment. This role combines strong technical skills with leadership responsibilities. Dell Site Leads will supervise install technicians at customer locations to ensure quality, efficiency and compliance with deployment procedures and installation guides. In addition, Dell Site Leads will deploy, sustain, and maintain centers as necessary. This role will communicate with customer site contacts and must possess good communication skills and exhibit integrity and confidence in themselves and the deployment process.

The hire should understand and be able to communicate technical and business issues with customers, account teams and other internal partners. The candidate must operate comfortably in a remote, self directed, high availability or mission critical environment. Candidate will also provide Dell's onsite service leadership during difficult customer situations. A strong commitment to delivering engagements while providing a superior customer experience is imperative.

Qualifications
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Install and troubleshoot SANs
· Install and troubleshoot advanced software (Visual SAN, SnapView/MirrorView)
· Backup production readiness (TBU software install/config)
· SAN upgrades (heterogeneous, layered apps)
· DAE/host adds (non-Windows)
· Data migration
· Switch add/zoning
· Escalated break/fix troubleshooting
· SAN Maintenance
· Execute service delivery according to Site Lead guide, Design Workbook, and/or Engagement Overview
· Coordinate with Customer's on-site facilities and technical contacts regarding readiness and delivery issues in addition to internal Dell project managers
· Escalate to Delivery Lead on issues that impact the entire operation at a given site
· Distribute deployment workload among deployment team
· Ensure the technicians are productive and efficient
· Serve as the escalation point for technician's deployment issues
· Keep track of technicians' and self timesheets
· Perform installations, deployments, maintenance and respond to critical break/fix escalations while not performing supervisory activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· 4+ years experience in servicing/deployment client and enterprise equipment
· Supervision of subordinate technicians
· Issue escalation and resolution
· Ability to travel to customer locations
· Ability to receive calls during the normal business day and after hours
· Ability to work independently
· Must have access to reliable transportation
· MCP, MCSE, CNE, EMCPP, RHCE/T, VCP, BCFP, SNIA, Server+ or Network+ certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements of the Role:
Physically able to lift and move Enterprise and Client technology hardware in our customer environments.
