Job Description:
Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives and the utilization of Action Workouts (Kaizen) to eliminate waste in Appliance Park Manufacturing Operations (AP1/AP3/AP5). Drive positive changes to help achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.
• Create the site lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead-time, and waste.
• Assist in lean plan execution by leading and planning Action Work Outs (AWOs), developing pull systems, training personnel, and other activities to achieve world-class process flow.
• Develop value stream maps for the Organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of lean techniques.
• Guide plant teams/direct reports in developing and executing lean plans to reduce inventory, lead-time, and waste to improve process quality.
• Drive consistency and timely implementation of all Lean activities (AWO, Shingijutsu led workshops, KPO creation, etc).
• Provide training and leadership to all salaried manufacturing/operations employees to drive Lean in their roles.
• Develop culture and the creation of a Kaizen promotion office to provide hands on experience for hourly team members.

Qualifications:
• BS/BA or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive change.
• Self-starter; takes the initiative to identify and implement new ideas.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop, manage and implement aggressive project plans.
• Working knowledge of Toyota Production System: JIT, JIDOKA, and HEIJUNKA
• Experience with tools such as SMED, 5S's, POKA-YOKE, KAN BAN, CHAKU-CHAKU.
