Description:

Overall responsible for setting up and maintaining the physical network required for the Battle Command Training Center (BCTC) classrooms, the Battle Simulation center (BSC), and Battle Staff Integration Course (BSIC). Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Responsible for the configuration & maintenance of the Cisco Call Manager & Cisco IP phone Network. Analyze voice, data, and multi-media communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Requirements: Must have expert knowledge of networks, communications and file transfer protocols. Must be capable of creating and installing LAN cables, configuring Ethernet switches and routers, and physical moving & arranging of equipment. Must be able to monitor network performance to ensure maximum optimization and troubleshoot network discrepancies in order to resolve problems. Assets: Experience in current Army tactical simulation tools. Understanding of interfaces between all Army ABCS. Security Clearance Required.
