Job Description
The Manager, Finance position is responsible for financial planning and forecasting, sales measurement, profitability and trend analyses, and providing financial support to the CNEG management team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Creating business/sales plans requiring a high degree of coordination amongst various functional team members.
· Implementing processes to track and monitor business and sales performance.
· Creating metrics/ratios to provide insight to management on business performance.
· Measuring actual performance vs. planned performance and reporting on results to management.
· Designing and overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and reporting to senior management including assisting with the coordination of the five year strategic business plan, and designing and overseeing annual operating budgets, short and long term financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
· Developing and maintaining financial models necessary to meet CER and CEG planning and analysis requirements and enhancing the management reporting of results. Establishing formats and schedules for timely and transparent analysis.
· Owning the internal budgeting process including establishment of formats, schedules, and detailed budget instructions. Interacting with senior members of business teams to collect information relevant to planning in a timely manner. Evaluating and providing inputs on potential issues and concerns.
· Managing the monitoring, forecasting, and reporting on cash flow and working capital.
Basic Qualifications
Skills Required:
· Required - Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
· Preferred - Masters degree in a business related field
· Required - 5 + years of relevant finance/accounting experience
· Preferred - Prior Financial Planning & Analysis experience
· Preferred - CPA or CFA
· Required - Extensive knowledge and experience in reviewing and interpreting financial statement results and interpreting and verifying the accuracy of accounting/financial records and reports
· Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial reporting and planning techniques
· Required - High level of proficiency with Excel including knowledge of macros, pivot tables, and complex formulas
· Preferred - Proficiency in Oracle
· Solid organizational skills, ability to work in a challenging environment and meet deadlines in a timely and professional manner
· Ability to clearly, concisely, and tactfully communicate, to gather and challenge information, and to present results in a convincing manner
· Demonstrated ability to interact constructively with individuals at all levels within the organization, including senior level commercial and financial leaders
· Effective team leader with well developed communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to maintain information in a confidential manner
· Strict attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to support multi-step projects
