Clear Channel Radio Louisville is accepting resumes for the position of Market Controller. Responsibilities for this position include:
Directly supervise G & A department, (including H/R) accordance with Clear Channel’s policies and procedures. Includes hiring, training and review of accounting staff.
Responsible for monthly financial close, maintenance of the general ledger, reconciliation of accounts and analysis of the costs and explanations of the variance to budget and actual.
Responsible for issuing monthly financial statement. Includes overseeing all aspects of monthly journal entries, account analysis and variance analysis. Work with executive management to issue, analyze and interpret financial results.
Responsible for all aspects of budgeting and forecasting. Construct annual income statement and capital budgets, present to executive management and make changes as necessary. Oversee monthly forecasts issued to executive management and explain all variances from budget. Monitor actual results against budget and forecast.
Review accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts, credit and collections, trade, accounts receivable and billing activity.
Ensures all financial deadlines and due dates are met in a timely manner. Includes but is not limited to monthly financial close, budget and forecast submissions, sales tax returns, vendor payments, and employee obligations (paychecks, terminations and expense reports).
Act as a liaison between the market and the corporate office regarding business issues involving financial, personnel and legal issues.
Responsible for financial functions of radio stations. Informs executive management of risk and exposure issues. Works with other departments to effectively carry our instructions of executive management. Also performs cost analysis as needed or requested by executive management.
This position reports to and supports the Market Manager with budgeting and forecasting.
The qualified candidate will have minimum 5 years accounting experience and 3 years supervisory experience, a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required. Broadcasting experience required. He/She must possess advanced Excel skills and be familiar with email, Microsoft Word and accounting software. This candidate must also maintain excellent time management and leadership skills, with ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
