SAIC's Systems and Technology Solutions Business Unit (S&TS BU) with more than 2,000 employees in 30 locations worldwide, provides technology and solutions to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Government agencies and the Department of Defense. Serving the Defense Advanced Research Agency (DARPA), U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) of AMCOM, Infantry School at Ft. Benning, NASA (Headquarters, Marshall Space Flight Center and Langley Research Center), and the Defense Intelligence Agency (Missile and Space Intelligence Center). Currently, the STS BU has a position open for a Simulations Analyst to support the MMBL located in FORT KNOX, KENTUCKY.
JOB DECRIPTION: Responsible to execute assigned research simulation based experiments in Live, Virtual and Constructive environments. Support developmental initiatives for the Mounted Maneuver Battle Lab (MMBL), Department of Defense Agencies, and civilian corporations. Operate government provided hardware and software in government provided facilities and ranges. Direct research projects that are conducted under classified and unclassified conditions. Provide technical oversight and administration in the execution of research and development experimentations in live, virtual and constructive simulation environments. Assist in the development of experimental design methodologies. Interpret and apply simulation outcomes to reduce or eliminate deficiencies across all domains of the Training and Doctrine Command. Assist in the preparation of modeling and simulation plans. Assist in the writing of study reports, control the development of scientific briefings of experimentation requirements and outcomes. Present briefings, host meetings and conferences as necessary to coordinate support for assigned studies or experiments. Provide direction for database, Battle master and technicians in support of the experiments. Provide technical assistance as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Combat Arms background (Infantry or Armor) required. Candidate must have experience in JCATS, Janus, OTB SAF. Candidate must have experience with military operations orders, preparing and coordinating requirements, messages, decisions papers, fact sheets, information papers, and briefing slides. Must be able to write scenarios, vignettes, FRAGO and OPORDs to support assigned projects. Strong organizational capabilities are required with the ability to work independently. Candidate must have experience and accomplished skills working with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Travel may be required. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS: 5 yrs experience in Simulation/experimentation. Math or Statistics background. Experience with Command and Control systems (FBCB2 or MC2/C2PC preferred). Operations Research experience preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
