We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Supervisor (2nd shift), to join our Louisville based global services team. Distribution Supervisor will report to our Materials Manager.
General Purpose of Job:
Directs, supervises and coordinates warehousing and materials personnel to include kitting, shipping, receiving and distribution.
Principle Accountabilities:
· Follows the disciplinary gudielines on attendance, perofrmance, behavior and other aspects.
· Directs the daily activities of the distribution function. Such activites include shipping, receiving, inventory control, etc.
· Generates warehouse productivity reports, in regard to selection rates, receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect.
· Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and goals.
· Responsible for the maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
· Administer warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
· Coordinate personnel requirements for periodic physical inventories.
· Maintains accurate material availability to meet production schedules and/or ensure products are shipped per customer requirements.
· Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, and packaged according to specification.
Maintains an adequate and efficient workforce to ensure proper staffing to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree is a must in a technical or business discipline.
· Manufacturing/Distribution background preferred.
· Demonstrated leadership skills and a minimum of 3-4 years of operations or related experience required.
· Verbal and written communication, organization, problem solving and interpersonal skills are necessary.
· Strong MS Office Skills.
· Manufacturing/Distribution management experience preferred.
· Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding.
· Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts.
· Must be flexible to work any shift if required
