Position Overview:
Your role as a Prepared Foods Production Team Member will include preparing high-quality foods for the Prepared Foods case that are consistent with Whole Foods Market's quality goals. Additionally you will maintain attractive Prepared Foods displays and support the regional Prepared Foods vision. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Duties:
• Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the department looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.
• Prepares raw materials according to company specifications and recipes and maintains consistency in food quality standards.
• Ensures a fresh, appealing case by checking codes, rotating product, and removing out-of-date product
• Labels, dates, covers, and rotates all products in the kitchen walk-in cooler.
• Maintains full levels in the soup and hot cases.
• Learns and uses all kitchen equipment. Uses preventative and safety measures at all times
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Support national, regional, and store programs.
• Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
• Responds promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary, including answering the store phone system.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Prepared Foods Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.

• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Knowledgeably communicate the product line to the customer.

• Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
• Strong organizational skills; basic computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Able to prioritize efficiently and delegate responsibilities.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
• Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Use of box cutters.
