SANITATION SUPERVISOR

Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sanitation Supervisor located at our Louisville, Kentucky, Bakery. The Sanitation Supervisor directs, administers and coordinates Sanitation and Raw Materials activities on the off shifts ensuring the highest level of quality for produced products. Monitors and evaluates sanitation and raw materials practices, processes and methods.
• Manages Sanitation and Raw materials methods and practices for a given area and/or shift.
• Supervises, motivates, trains and monitors employees to create an environment where work is performed in a safe, efficient manner.
• Develops, monitors and responds to weekly, monthly and other necessary periodic Sanitation and/or Quality Assurance audits.
• Participates in the timely resolution of sanitation practices and/or methods including follow-up and corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Prepares various reports monitoring production equipment and environmental cleanliness.
• Represents department by assisting with all aspects of new product development, production trials, test sampling and production test runs of new materials and finished product.
• Supports and implements process/systems improvements to drive lowest cost, highest quality and on-time delivery initiatives while maintaining optimum sanitary conditions.
• Develops, evaluates and recommends changes to continually improve facility and equipment cleaning procedures and minimize any food safety and equipment risk.
• Attends meetings that have an impact on sanitation planning and effectiveness, making positive, proactive contributions and recommendations.
• Accountable for compliance with all regulatory procedures such as lockout-tag-out, confined space entry, blood-borne pathogen collaboration, etc.
• Reviews procedures for changes and ensures that the standards are actual.
• Coordinates changeovers, startups and material usage

Position Requirements
Minimum 5 years of directly related Food Industry experience, including supervisory, pest control and raw material receiving.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
This position requires exceptional planning, organizing, technical writing, problem solving, communication and team facilitation skills.
A thorough knowledge of sanitation/receiving methods such as, but not limited to, Pest Control, HACCP, GMP's and SSOP's.
Food industry experience is Required.
This position further requires computer literacy, an orientation to detail.
Quick decision making ability.
Pest Control and HACCP certification preferred.
Expertise Level: Broad knowledge of Sanitation concepts and raw material practices and procedures in order to handle complex tasks and give experienced guidance to others.
