Louisville Urban League

Making It Work Ex-Offender Program
The Louisville Urban League is seeking ex-offenders interested in enrolling
in a workforce program...

Who's Eligible

· Must live in the Shelby Park, Phoenix Hill, Smoketown or California Neighborhoods
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Must be an ex-offender (excluding violent or sexual offenses)
· Unemployed or seeking employment or better employment
· Willing to make a commitment to the program objectives

Program Objectives 
· To reduce and eliminate barriers to:
· Employment
· Achievement of a GED
· Enrollment in post-secondary education programs and/or Enrollment in skills development training programs
· Employment retention

Program Components
· Program participants can earn cash incentives for completing certain program components & benchmarks.

Program Activities & Outcomes
· Career counseling,
· Assistance with records expunge process (if eligible),
· Assistance w/transportation for training/job search purposes,
· Job search counseling, referrals, job placement and follow-up services.
