Regional Sales Director

Job Description

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for managing the overall sales efforts of the established region. In addition to managing the Energy Sales Consultants within the region, the RSD is also required to solicit and execute Constellation NewEnergy - Gas Division "Gas Sale and Transportation" contracts. This region covers Central and Southern Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. The RSD should be located within the region. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Meeting individual and team gross margin and cost sales goals established by the company annually.
• Maintaining proper staffing including interviewing, hiring, and succession planning.
• Ensuring that direct reports receive proper training in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that direct reports follow departmental procedures.
• Ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Supplying leadership in a team environment.
• Supporting product development and regulatory activities within region, as required.
• Conducting employee performance and salary reviews.
• Performing such tasks as reasonably necessary to identify potential energy sales and/or management/consulting end use customers.
• Scheduling meetings with qualified end use customers to explain Fellon-McCord and/or CNEG product offerings.
• Providing Supply and/or Consulting Services department(s) with the information required to generate commodity sales pricing or management/consulting fee structure(s).
• Providing the Credit department with financial information required to determine creditworthiness of existing and/or potential customers.
• Delivering proposal and other relevant information to potential customers to effectuate execution of Fellon-McCord and/or CNEG contracts.
• Working with Gas Operations and/or Consulting Services, as needed, on a monthly basis to determine nominations, bank strategies, incremental pricing, and any other issues required to properly service customers.
• Assisting with establishing operations behind a target LDC and insuring that compliance and standards are met with a new LDC's.
• Consulting with existing Fellon-McCord and CNEG customers on a regular basis to discuss market trends, risk management strategies, tariff rate schedule changes, and any other issues required to meet the company's contractual obligations to its customer.
• Attending and actively participating in company sales meetings and seminars which may be held from time-to-time at locations designated by CNEG/Fellon-McCord.
• Performing all ancillary work tasks in support of CNEG/Fellon-McCord's business as may be directed by company managers.

Basic Qualifications
Skills Required:

• Required - BS or BA degree in a business related field such as Marketing, Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Required - 5 years or more experience in sales to industrial and commercial end users
• Preferred - 2+ years managerial or leadership experience
• Understanding of the industry financial markets (NYMEX)
• Aware of all the key competitors within the region
• Understanding of tariffs and operational requirements of the appropriate LDC's within the region
• Highly proficient in Excel with a working knowledge of Power Point, Word, Outlook, and the use of the Internet
• Ability to manage employees and maintain team rapport
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information at all times
• Exceptional communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with customers, direct reports, co-workers and employees
• Ability to manage several different tasks simultaneously
• Travel as required by Fellon-McCord and CNEG customers' and businesses' needs
• Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines
