IT Analyst (Product Manager) - Business Intelligence

Job Description:
Responsibilities
• Work with operations team and customer to identify root cause and long term solutions to problems in the BI environment
• Drive reduction in key performance metrics such as on time Delivery, Report performance, and Data Accuracy.
• Working with BI Service Delivery team drive implementation of strategic plans.
• Utilize Six Sigma methodology to drive quality and reliable applications.
• Develop detailed analysis, design, construction and testing specifications.
• Work closely with project team, vendors and other IT projects to ensure technical compatibility and integration where needed.
• Define and create system objects; determine need for commonly used system queries.
• Verify performance specifications with users for reliability, accuracy, and functionality.
• Minimize the adverse effects of incidents and problems caused by infrastructure errors and seek to proactively prevent the recurrence of these incidents and problems.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or a related computer field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Systems Analyst position with emphasis on business intelligence systems (including decision support and data warehousing) preferred
• Prior experience with Business Intelligence, Reporting, ETL, Decisions Support and Data Warehousing.
• Strong understanding of metadata.
• Must have strong customer focus skills
• Solid project management skills.
• Possess strong critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and consultative skills.
• Fluency with MS Office suite of tools.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time under tight deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work well in a global team environment.
• Understanding of data relationships, ability to extract data using SQL.
• Knowledge of ITIL Problem Management, Release Management and Configuration Management processes.
• Knowledge and Understanding of key BI Software, such as Business Objects, Informatica, Hyperroll, Oracle RDBMS, OSA and other Oracle BI tools.
