Provides or assists residents with personal care activities of daily living including bed bath, tub bath, shower, dental, hair and nail care, shaving, dressing, undressing, grooming, toileting, ambulating, transferring, positioning, and using walkers, wheelchairs, lifts and positioning/repositioning devices. Keeps residents clean and dry. Implements toileting plan of care.
Assists with meals, drinking, feeds and cleans residents, supervises meals in dining room.
Prepares residents for physician visits, medical tests, sleep, and activities; performs personal services for residents including transporting to and from dining room, beauty shop and activities.
Performs and/or assists with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents; taking vital signs, measuring and recording intake and output, collecting specimens, conforming with approved infectious control procedures, providing for safety, caring dying residents, performing postmortem care, and other assigned duties; all with proper instruction and supervision.
