Description:
Responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to resident populations, including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention to residents. Ensures resident satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources. Assists with overseeing of sanitation/food safety compliance. Excellent opportunity for someone looking for a combination role of working clinical with a splash of management responsibilities.

· Good communication skills both written and verbal
· Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, patients, residents, client, associate and departmental levels
· Knowledge of computational practices
· Computer knowledge/skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet
· Ability to perform various motor skills such as; lifting, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, grasping and arm-hand coordination on a continuous basis
· Ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, to work as a member of a team, and to demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people
· Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction activities
· Exhibit courtesy, tact and reasonable speed in performance of duties
Necessary Ingredients:
· B.S. Degree in Dietetics or related field of study - CADE accredited program
· Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required, registration-eligible status acceptable Minimum of one (1) year hospital or nursing home experience preferredServSafe® certified desirable
· Must be able to pass criminal background check
