Project Manger/Sr. Logistician - Location TBD
· Seeking retired or ex officer, warrant officer or government civilian with an extensive logistics support background.
· Must have a minimum of ten years experience in the logistics management arena; experience in Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) is greatly desired.
· Candidate must have extensive experience in the receipt, storage, and movement of equipment preferably experience with unit reset requirements.
· Must have working knowledge of material fielding plans; must be able to prepare, coordinate, staff, and finalize agreements associated with major fielding to units; must be able to develop Materiel Fielding Team Schedules, skill set, and team structure in accordance unit fielding requirements;
· Be able to coordinate with staging site and verify soldier support package percent of fill prior to shipment; coordinate with the TACOM ILSC Clothing and Heraldry PSID, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) Central Management Office (CMO) CMO, for shipment of soldier equipment.
· Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in accordance with Army Regulation AR 25-2.
· This position requires EXTENSIVE TRAVEL to include: at a minimum 13 designated Army installations and 16 additional, pending visits to other installations throughout the continental United States.
Location of this position is still to be determined and salary is based on qualification and experience.
This position will be as Senior Logistician and Project Manager to a dynamic support requirement enabling the US Army, to include Active components, Reserve component and National Guard forces to dramatically improve their force protection status through modernization of individual survival gear. The end result of this effort will allow Army units to flow smoothly through the reset/train, ready and available force pool. The goal of this effort is to issue 100% of the required OCIE to the force pool identified within the reset window. This mission objective is to ensure that Soldiers receive their entire assigned mission unique and personal equipment in addition to establishing the optimum business practices for exercising logistics accountability and future reset missions.
