Construction and Repair Tech I
Eastern Kentucky University

Position Summary:
An EKU Construction and Repair Tech I assists the craft foreman and structural supervisor in implementing and completing assigned work orders including, but not limited to construction, demolition, removal, cleanup, and repair as well as assisting other areas of facilities services as needed. Under guidance help facilitate construction, renovation, and general repair projects for university programs as it relates to the actual facility. Complete the installation part of the project. Assists others in the processing of general work orders and assisting with other facilities service areas in completion of their work orders as it relates to his/her job. Maintain records of time, materials and resources according to established procedures.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Requires valid state drivers license.
Minimum Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Qualifications: Two years experience in construction or vocational training.
Qualification Equivalencies: OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
