Job Description:
Responsibilities
· Develop Low Cost Region strategy for key commodities to leverage cost out opportunities across a global footprint.
· Develop and organize global events such as parts fairs and supplier summits to leverage low cost regions for cost out.
· Identify and visit potential suppliers globally.
· Develop tools and processes to measure success. Drive project execution utilizing global teams as appropriate.
· Effectively work with cross-functional teams to qualify new suppliers. This will involve interaction with Sourcing and Engineering teams.
· Lead and develop plans to improve, simplify, and standardize core processes for low cost country initiative.
· Develop key strategies to drive cost out benefits by exploring best possible approach for lowest total cost scenario.
· Support other Sourcing Initiatives as required.
Qualifications
· BS/BA degree required; technical degree preferred
· Minimum 3 years of Sourcing, Manufacturing, IT, or Technology experience
· Green Belt Certified.
· Demonstrated project execution results and success in driving cross-functional process improvement.
· Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
· Strategic thinking and planning.
· Superb quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; Able to integrate a broad range of data into actionable insights.
· Ability to prioritize opportunities, develop strategy for execution and deliver program results within deadlines.
· High energy level; Motivated to succeed.
· Can do attitude; willing to pitch in and help as needed; Team player, self-directed and self-motivating; able to ask for help when needed but also work unsupervised.
· Comfortable with driving change; Able to share success with others.
· Some travel required.
