Description:
Our client has a 4-month Special Project for an experienced Data Compliance Professional. This person will provide Installation assistance and guidance for months 2-4; assist client team with installs and configurations of the Linux (RedHat)/Symantec NetBackup Backup servers (one at each DC), and assist with setup of tape storage unit (Dell ML6010 storage unit with 2 LTO-4 tape drives). This person will backup installs following our Critical Practices; assist with documentation of Backup solution for Client IT team (2nd resource has this responsibility); and will handover to leveraged global resources during month 4 for them to provide steady-state 'escalation service'. The Client will be responsible for secure on-site and off-site tape media storage.
Requirements:
The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
· Greater than 4 years of experience with Veritas Netbackup and/or other enterprise scale data backup solution
· Demonstrated working knowledge of Windows, AIX, SP2, HP UNIX, Sun Solaris, Red Hat or other Unix brands
· Demonstrated working knowledge of small to large scale media libraries
· Understands Perot Systems CP's (Critical Practices)
· Completed the following industry-recognized certification in area of work
· ITIL Foundation certification Symantec NetBackup Data Protection Administrator Certification and/or equivalent data backup vendor solutions certification
