System Architect - Business Intelligence Service Delivery

Job Description:
Responsibilities

As a member of the Industrial IT Business Intelligence Service Delivery team, the system architect is responsible for developing a robust and strategic design for projects based on functional and technical requirements. Primary responsibilities are as follows:
• Work closely with project leader and Business liaisons to develop technical design for projects based on functional requirements.
• Serve as technical mentor and coach to Junior BI systems architects.
• Assist in the evaluation of emerging technologies in areas of Information Warehousing, Decision Support and Executive Information Systems.
• Participate in design and architecture reviews.
• Manage vendor relationships with a focus on upgrades and overcoming technical issues.
• Assist in determining root cause of issues identified during design and development.
• Participate in project reviews.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or a related computer field.
• Experience with the design/development of the following: database performance tuning, Web Intelligence, BO XI, Informatica, Crystal. Reports, Dashboard Manager, Data Modeling and Star Schema.
• Must have ability to present technical information in a manner that is easy to understand.
