Position Summary:
An EKU Staff Psychologist provides services to address the mental health needs of EKU students through the application of research-based psychological principles and techniques within the context of the University's and Counseling Center's mission to promote the personal, social and academic development and overall success of the university students. Provides psychotherapy, career counseling, outreach programming, consultation to faculty, staff, students and concerned others on how to be most helpful to the student in distress, crisis management, evaluation of services, teaching career choice class, supervising professionals in training, assisting in policy development, and developing liaison relationships with community and regional resources.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Must be licensed as a psychologist in the state of Kentucky. Minimum Educational Qualifications: Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology required from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution. Evidence of continuity in professional development and continued education. Knowledge of psychological and developmental needs of the college population essential.

Minimum Experience Qualifications:
Must have 7-10 years of experience providing clinical services, post-licensure--at least 5 of those years must have been working in, or in close affiliation with, a university counseling center.

Desired Qualifications
Training from APA accredited training program and internship preferred. Prefer knowledge of community resources, experience with policy development and extensive knowledge of ethics and psychology law of Kentucky.

Additional Information:
Additional duties include rotation of on-call phone as well as duties designated by Director.
Individual should have experience and training in time limited modalities and at least four of the following: men's issues, college student anxiety and depression, policy development, supervision of trainees and temporarily licensed psychologists, community mental health resources, sexual assault, career counseling, substance abuse, group counseling, multi-cultural counseling, or eating disorders. Must be able to work effectively with college students and university faculty/staff; must also be able to work closely and effectively as a team member with counseling center staff and within organizational and administrative structure of a university counseling center and university.
