Job Description
Position Profile

Process and manage warranty returns to the vendors based on corporate objectives, consult with the purchasing department function to obtain desired service from the vendors, develop and maintain a high level of expertise of the warranty programs and products, serve as a resource to both internal and external customers, ensure customer needs and requirements are met, cooperate with peers and management, and participate in miscellaneous activities and various special projects. Insure all incoming questionable product meets ikon proformance standards based on oem original condition prior to receiving into inventory.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Provides Quality Assurance to 3rd party logistics providers to determine the status of parts.
· Inspects questionable receipts for damages.
· Identifies unmarked items when possible to insure receipt capability.
· Inspects excess return material for appropriateness of restocking.
· Inspects excess return open packages for content totals.
· Inspects freight from vendors.
· Inspects customer returns for damage and content totals for restocking.
· Inspects technician returns for damage and content totals for restocking.
· Inspects MBE returns for damage and content totals for restocking.
· Maintains appropriate reports and records for damaged items.
· Determines disposition for damaged items.
· Determines cause of damage if possible and initiate corrective action/notification to avoid in the future.
· Processes warranty returns to the vendors, using the guidelines set by Headquarters.
· Manages and monitors warranty credits to directly support all districts, branches, marketplaces, to optimize corporate objectives.
· Works with the 3rd party logistics providers to ensure warranty returns are received and shipped in a timely manner.
· Reviews all warranty claims for validity, ensure that vendor claim forms are accurate, timely and completed.
· Serves as a resource to both internal and external customers by obtaining and sharing knowledge and information in order to enhance individual and customer abilities to achieve quality results.
· Provides direct assistance to Service and Purchasing Management in any special projects needed.
· Serves as the main contact person for Field Service as it relates to warranty returns within the districts, problems relating to parts and or supplies.
· Proactively searches for potential problems and determine the appropriate action necessary to prevent their occurrence.
· Maintains communication between the service division and supply chain.
· Assists and /or backs up coworkers to support work schedule and responsibilities.
· Participates in cross-functional and interdepartmental meetings.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Financial Responsibility:
· This position will be responsible for maintaining warranty return claims, and payments.
· Limited scope of authority within pre-established specific policies, procedures, and guidelines
· Incumbent actions may impact some adjacent units and immediate work unit

Qualifications
(Education, Experience and Certifications)
· Four-year college degree (preferably in Business, Logistics or Math), or equivalent work experience is required.
· APICS Certification is preferred.
· Minimum 3 years experience as analyst or service technician is preferred.
· Proficiency in MS Office is desirable.
