Job Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Developing & executing a sales plan in the local territoryf to meet/exceed sales goals
• Selling industrial & construction supplies business to business
• Conducting cold calls with manufacturing, maintenance, construction, job sites & other industrial accounts
• Maintaining & growing the existing customer base
• Managing account collections for assigned accounts
• Maintaining & growing customer inventory programs
This is an entry level sales position. The focus of this position is 80% outside sales and 20% branch support, including inside sales, purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing, and inventory management.
Successful candidates must:
• Possess a valid driver's license & meet company MVR requirements
• Possess the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a consistent basis
• Practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the business
• Have excellent written & oral communication skills
• Be customer service oriented
• Possess the ability to learn & perform multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong computer skills and aptitude
Preference is given to those who possess either an Associates Degree in Business/Marketing OR equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market. Fastenal will provide training for the best qualified candidate.
