Job Description:
Responsibilities

• We are seeking experienced Purchasing Agents for several commodities (Electronics, Plastics, Indirect, Metals, Lighting Raw materials, Packaging). Candidates must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and challenging environment.
• Develop, Lead and execute Sourcing strategy for assigned accounts/commodities.
• Establish the strategic direction and work plan to deliver cost-out and cash targets.
• Maximize MCTO (material cost take out) on assigned buy, identifying and taking advantage of the lowest cost supplier via negotiation, e-auctions, redesigns, and sub-tier component cost reductions
• Manage Sourcing activities for assigned buy including quoting, PO issuance, and site support as needed for current and new designs
• Work effectively with Technology, Supplier Quality, and site materials personnel on day-to-day problem resolution and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Utilizing Six Sigma, identify process and product opportunities delivering productivity and/or enhanced profitability.
• Lead supply base consolidation and supplier lead-time reduction initiatives on assigned commodities.

Qualifications
• BS/BA degree required; technical degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years prior sourcing and/or supply chain operations experience .
• Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated team player with a strong initiative to win.
• Aggressive self-starter and change agent.
• Excellent oral/written communication and influencing skills.
• Strong project/program management experience with a winning track record.
• Travel required, including international travel.
