Job Description:
Responsibilities
The IT Analyst is the primary Responsible Analyst (RA) for the Appliance Sales web portal and other productivity applications for Field Sales, Telesales, and the Meetings and Conventions team within GE Consumer & Industrial.
Responsibilities include:
· Work with Sales business leaders to forecast and deliver rapid, cost effective, quality solutions.
· Deliver and execute on assigned projects and goals for both IT and Appliances Sales customers.
· Recommend and coordinate remote computer hardware and mobile support as well as provide direction and policies for Appliance mobile support helpdesk.
· Drive measurable improvements aligned to business needs and IT initiatives.
· Assess team's workload and provide consulting, mentoring and coaching.
· Organize operational reviews and priorities across a small team of developers shared by multiple RA's.
· Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to keep projects within scope, schedule and budget.
· Analyze and document requirements and specifications through research, data gathering and working with key personnel.
· Design and implement customer driven solutions, by creating, evaluating and selecting alternatives.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years in a technical related field (e.g., Information Systems, Business Analysis, Application Systems Development), including minimum of 2 years in an analytical role.
· Proven software development and support experience.
· Strong project management and problem solving skills, including experience with formal system development and project management tools.
· Knowledge of SQL, Java, XML, Meastro, and INF skills highly utilized.
· Green Belt certified (GE employees).

· Knowledge of the GE Laptop hardware and coreloads, and Actuate/Business Objects a plus.

· Change agent. Ability to influence the actions and opinions of others in a desired direction.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Cross-functional I/T experience.
· Knowledge of the Appliance Sales Data Warehouse.
· Facilitation and formal training skills.
