Job Description

The Associate, Supply is responsible for purchasing all first of month volumes, as well as, purchasing or selling any daily long or short natural gas positions for the assigned pipelines/utilities, utilizing CCG personnel for actual execution, except for outsourced deals, as well as execution of financial transactions as required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Maximizing the opportunities on assigned transportation/storage assets by developing appropriate strategies and processes within the company's risk tolerances.
· Purchasing and/or selling the client's daily, monthly, and term physical short/long volume requirements.
· Maintaining detailed records of all transactions. This includes deal tracking, entering into system, reviewing confirmations, and reconciling to actual for Accounting Close.
· Providing daily, monthly, and term pricing to Sales, Transaction Services, and Client Services by completing FOM Pricing and quote requests.
· Receiving customer orders and processing financial transaction fulfillment services in compliance with the Company's risk policy and providing transacted price information with financial counterparties to appropriate company personnel in accordance with financial, accounting, and operational policies and procedures.
· Coordinating efforts with the Price Desk, to the extent necessary, in order to perform financial execution services.
· Managing forward positions for assigned pipelines/utilities.
· Supporting supplier, LDC, and pipeline relationships.
· Interacting with Client Services on the RFP Process and optimization of customer owned assets.
· Supporting Supply optimization efforts.
· Communicating Supply issues with Volume Management, Quality Control, Transaction Services, Confirmations, Sales, Sales Support, and Client Services.
· Providing support and training to Analyst(s), Supply.
· Assisting Manager, Director, and VP, Supply with other management related responsibilities as delegated.
· Serving as back-up on all pipelines/utilities.

Basic Qualifications
· Required - Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline) and/or equivalent experience in the natural gas industry
· Required - 3 - 5 years of energy experience
· Required - 2 - 3 years of Supply experience
· Preferred - Prior experience scheduling physical gas supplies and transportation on interstate pipelines
· Required - Extensive understanding of energy markets
· Required - Advanced knowledge of Finance and Economics
· Knowledge of risk management and financial tools (future contracts, options, etc.)
· Strong communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with employees and customers
· Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making.
· Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to organize and prioritize a fast-paced, heavy workload, and coordinate the same with other CNEG Departments
· Highly proficient with Excel, Word, E-mail Instant Messaging, and the Internet
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of information at all times
· Ability to work under daily deadlines and in a high pressure environment
· In depth understanding of mathematical concepts with ability to calculate rate, ratio, and percent and apply these concepts to practical situations
