Continuing Education Assistant
Eastern Kentucky University

Position Summary:

· Maintains the Division of Continuing Education & Development's web site using Dreamweaver which is updated minimum every two weeks. Posts all programs to the website in January and July.
· Accepts registrations for programs (live, online, and self-study) via telephone and FAX maintaining confidential information related to (nursing) license number and/or social security number.
· Enters registration information into an Access data base (from which reminder cards and CE Certificates are produced requiring a high level of accuracy.
· Processes payments via credit card, check, or cash.
· Creates program evaluation forms for programs based on written objectives and program focus.
· Processes the results of evaluations after the program in a summary report which is then sent to the co· providing agency.
· Helps develop the both the Spring and Fall Calendar of Events, a publication that is mailed to approximately 18,000 nurses in our service area.
· Provides proof· reading and grammatical corrections/basic edits to Calendar of Events.
· Gathers information and performs edits to the College of Health Science Winter Newsletter, a publication that is mailed to over 15,000 alumni of the College of Health Science.
· Conducts online and library research for the department for up· coming programs.
· Compiles data from programs from semester to semester.
· Provides excellent customer service through answering telephones and routine correspondence.
· Assists with the set· up and/or trouble shoots audio/visual equipment before and during live programs.

Desired Qualifications
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Dreamweaver. Should have completed 18 hours of college credit. Must be a self-starter. Positive Attitude. Critical Thinking Skills, multi· tasking abilities, organizational skills, flexibility when priorities reset a must.
