Job Description:
Responsibilities

The Commercial Training Program (CTP) is one of GECI's training programs for our Commercial organization. To supplement on-the-job learning, skills are developed with additional training, field visits, mentor assignments and interactive seminars during this 18-24 month program. In addition, all members will be Six Sigma Green Belt certified after completing training, testing and applying their knowledge in customer-focused projects. Program graduates will be considered for field commercial roles (primarily AMS positions) in the Appliance Sales organization.
• Promote and sell appliance products to contract or retail accounts through telephone contacts.
• Solicit new accounts; from initial call to close, achieving and exceeding assigned quarterly and yearly sales targets.
• Maintain working relationship with Region Sales Managers, Field Area Sales Managers, National Account Managers, Sales support functions and peers.
• Implement aggressive, proactive call schedule to increase sales growth and productivity (outbound calling, customer touch %) and leverage.
• Use digitization tools and Six Sigma methodology to improve overall sales effectiveness.
• Negotiate market level pricing.
• Develop rapport with customers over the phone.
• Maintain thorough product knowledge; conduct market analysis of assigned territory and prepare/execute territory strategies and action plans.
• Heavy post-sale administration.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree BS or BA; preferred Sales/Marketing or Business related.
• Geographic mobility upon program graduation required.
• Previous retail, direct or telephone sales experience.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to develop, organize and implement sales plans.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in self-directed environment.
• Demonstrated excellence in interfacing with customers.
• Flexible to time zone requirements based on customer territories.
• Must be a change agent.
• Operate with unyielding integrity and compliance with the Spirit and Letter.
