Description

We are currently looking for a Fleet Mechanic for Louisville, KY who will perform mechanical duties while complying with PAS productivity and safety standards.

Duties include:
• Drive and maneuver a truck having a gross vehicle weight of under or over 26,000lbs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, road calls and major overhauls on trucks, forklifts, tractor/trailers, scrubbers and support vehicles
• Complete associated paperwork
• Report to work in a clean and neat uniform at scheduled starting time
• Follow all company rules and regulations
• Follow direction of Supervisors

Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of internal combustible engines, hydraulic and air brake systems, welding and electrical experience
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push/pull up to 300 lbs
• Must have own tool set
• Must be at least 21 years of age if driving a DOT regulated company vehicle across state lines
• Must have a valid a CDL Class A driver's license or be able to obtain one in the first 60 days
• Must be able to work shifts as assigned such as weekends, holidays and mandatory overtime
• Must pass criminal and driving background investigations, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical

Preferred Qualifications:
• Two or more years of mechanical experience on gas and diesel medium/heavy trucks
• ASE certification
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Stable work history and good attendance record
