Job Description:
Responsibilities
· Lead advanced manufacturing tooling engineering activities in support of NPI and TCO programs across GE Appliances.
· Perform part reviews for manufacturability and work with technology to mitigate any problems.
· Specify, review and order molds and dies for manufacturing of component parts.
· Lead plant process development of new tools.
· Effectively communicate with GE Consumer & Industrial Project team for successful implementation of projects.
· Develop and manage program cost and tooling schedules on assigned projects.
· Actively participate as a program team member with all functions: Design, Quality, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
· Capability to follow and understand both stamping dies and thermoplastic/thermoset molds.
Qualifications
· Technical Degree/Tooling apprentice, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred.
· Have a proven track record for specifying both dies and molds.
· Prior manufacturing experience in one or more of the following areas:
Stamping
Thermoset/thermoplastic molding
· Working knowledge of statistical process control. Six Sigma green belt certification preferred.
· Excellent project tracking and detailed planning skills required.
· A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer oriented mindset.
· Self directed with the ability to work within cross-functional team environment.
· Computer literate and skilled in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Auto Cad & Outlook.
