Coding Compliance Manager

Description:
Kforce Healthcare and one of the Bay's leading hospital systems dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs through medical services, education and research, is joining forces to fill an immediate opening for a Coding Compliance Manager. The Coding Compliance Manager develops and maintains the coding and documentation compliance program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Monitor the quality of coding and abstracting of medical records
· Verify coding and abstracting compliance with external regulatory agency requirements
· Manage the coding area to ensure timely, accurate coding

Requirements:
Coding Compliance Management Qualifications:
· A.A. or A.S. degree in Health Information Technology from an accredited college or program
· Satisfactory completion of the national registration exam through AHIMA
· Certifications
· Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technology (RHIT) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
· Registered Health Information Administrator-RHIA (preferred)

Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in an acute care hospital coding environment
· Minimum one (1) year of experience supervising an HIM Department
· Proficient, working knowledge of coding compliance regulations
