Finance Department Manager

Description:
As part of the finance team, the Finance Department Manager will take the lead in collecting, summarizing, and interpreting varied and complex financial data to generate SEC and shareholder reports-including the 10-K and
10-Q. When not engaged in financial reporting, the Finance Department Manager will be closely involved with the interest rate committee, liquidity management, new product exploration and many one-time, ever-changing projects. The bank relies on this position to interpret, apply, and implement complex accounting concepts as they arise. This position, which reports to CFO and also has regular interaction with executive group-including the Chairman, offers a challenging and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate. Duties:
· Support/review Controller's work as required by SOX

Monthly Duties:
· Prepare tax accruals
· Monitor monthly close
· Support Accounting department reporting/tracking
· Support Accounting for stock compensation (options, stock appreciation rights, and restricted stock)

Quarterly Duties:
· Prepare 10-Q
· Review Call Report and Y-9

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervise the Controller and officer responsible for management reporting

Requirements:
Requirements include a B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting. A CPA is preferred. Banking industry experience is required. Public accounting experience is also helpful. You should possess strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills. Your ability to explore others' skills, activities, and duties while providing suggestions in a diplomatic way will be very beneficial to the organization. Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and good organizational skills are also preferred.
