Job Description • Lead a branch team to grow and increase deposit, loan and investment balances • Manage the overall sales, service and operational performance of a branch banking office • Achieve goals and standards set for new sales, customer retention, customer service, operational integrity and overall branch profitability • Coach, guide and direct branch staff, on sales and service activities related to consumer and small business deposits, investments, lending and other products. • Develop and maintain close relationships with assigned internal partners, such as Mortgage Loan Originators, Business Banking Officers, Cash Management Officers, Financial Advisors and Commercial Banking Relationship Managers • Hire, train, manage and motivate team members • Make decisions regarding branch employees and customers • Business development activities with small business customers and prospects • Facilitate branch staff meetings to recognize team successes, changes to products, systems, policies and procedures • Open checking and savings accounts, handle loans, order checks and provide other customer services
Job Requirements: • Minimum of three years of management experience in branch banking or retail sales • Successful record of sales and service excellence, with demonstrated leadership in sales, sales management, coaching and problem-solving • Proven leadership skills and ability to coach sales & service behaviors of others • Experience in small business development and lending • Comprehensive understanding of banking, finance and key financial metrics • Previous experience as a branch manager, financial center manager, assistant manager, office manager, retail manager, store manager or business development officer preferred • Investment licenses, including NASD Series 6, 63 and state insurance licensing and the ability to sell non-insured financial products a plus • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Successful completion of the National City Branch Manager Virtual Job Tryout
