Description

SCA Electronic Technician Maintenance II for the Warfighter Focus Contract - Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) at Fort Knox, KY
CSC Federal Training sector is searching for an experienced Electronic Technician Maintenance II for the WFF / LCT Contract at Fort Knox, KY. Individual will apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve usually complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions and incorporating engineering changes.

Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analysis, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.

Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.

Primary duties of this position are to perform maintenance on the various systems of a medium to high fidelity flight simulator. This may include full motion systems, visual and display systems, and computer network technology. The position requires the technical ability to troubleshoot failures down to discreet component level by applying advanced knowledge in electronics and logical fault diagnostic abilities.

Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university or related military training and 5 years minimum experience in a related discipline.
· Mainframe computer theory and operations - one year concentrated academic course/Fault detect to board level;
· Electronic Principles - one year concentrated academic course/Fault detect to component;
· Hydraulic Systems Theory and Operations - one year academics or experience/ Fault detect to replaceable unit;
· Office software operations and use / Desktop skills, acquisition/Intermediate skills level.
· Electronic devise operation and maintenance - 3 yrs; Hydraulic systems operation and maintenance - 3 yrs; Quality assurance/Equipment condition analysis - 3 yrs; Technical assessment and writing - 3 yrs.
· Supervision of personnel - 1 yr

Five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems/network or training device maintenance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a DOD security clearance if required
